Great Neck resident Raymond Young has been arrested after allegedly breaking into Bank of America on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck at approximately 11:05 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9.
Police said that Young was taken into custody on Monday, Dec. 16 and charged with first-degree robbery and criminal use of a firearm. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
According to detectives, Young entered the Bank of America, approached a teller while displaying a black handgun and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he proceeded to flee on foot toward Cutler Mill Road. At the time of the robbery, Young was wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, and black ski mask.
No injuries were reported.
